Drone Camp is a great program for professionals interested in using remotely piloted vehicles for imaging row crops, orchards, and vineyards!

Dr. Nocco and Logan Ebert are excited to be Drone Camp instructors this summer. We will be teaching two in-depth workshops:

One will be about using Agisoft Metashape for photogrammetry and data processing using both the graphic user interface, batching, and scripting approaches.

The second will be about how to combine multiband and thermal imagery to understand crop water stress.

Who Should Attend Drone Camp?

Short answer: Anyone interested in using drones for mapping or data collection in agriculture and natural resources!

DroneCamp is designed for a wide range of skill levels and interests, from complete beginners with little to no experience in drone technology, to intermediate users who want to learn more advanced data processing and analysis.

Note the focus of DroneCamp is using drones for mapping, research and data collection. We do not cover building drones, robotics, or videography. Regulations will be discussed and a workshop offered on preparing for the remote pilot exam, but this is not a full-fledged Part 107 prep class.

Experience with drones or GIS is not required. You do not need to bring a drone.
